Julia Horton, Jolene Rickter and Margaret Williams, riding for Blue Heron Farm, completed a great summer of competition at Open Shows and Gymkhanas. Using several different BHF horses, including: Maren, Lasse, Mars, and Vidar, the girls did a great job of conditioning, practicing, and otherwise preparing the Fjords to compete. Julia and Margaret in particular, rarely failed to pin either Champion or Reserve Champion in their divisions, showing how competitive the Fjords can be. In a series of three local gymkhanas, the two riders consistently competed for High Points honors, and Margaret won overall High Points Champion for the series.
Two of our Fjordhorses went to new homes this year, one to Long Island New York, and one to Peterborough New Hampshire. Both new owners are having a wonderful time competing in dressage or simply trail riding with their new friends. We want to thank Lorraine McInerny (BHF Mars) and Gail Colls (BHF Lasse) for providing such good homes to two very sweet and capable geldings
